Northwoods – the power of networking

Our Northwoods Rewilding Network continues to grow, bringing together a diverse community of almost 100 land partners committed to nature restoration.

Every year we survey our Northwoods land partners and combine the data to provide a consolidated view of the change happening across the network. Since its launch in 2021, the network has driven significant ecological recovery across more than 10,000 hectares of land – more than half the size of Glasgow – while creating over 100 jobs and more than £3 million in local investment.

With new partners joining every month, the momentum and impact are building fast. It’s an inspiring demonstration of what’s possible when landowners feel empowered to take a different approach – managing their land with nature in mind. Across Scotland, this growing network is turning individual efforts into a collective force for ecological renewal.
