RETURN MISSING SPECIES

What change do we want to see?

An increase in abundance and diversity of species in Scotland, built on broader understanding of the critical role of all species – including missing native species – in sustaining healthy, functioning ecosystems.

What are we doing to drive this change?

As well as expanding the range of existing species, such as aspen and beavers, we are committed to creating the conditions that allow missing native species to thrive in our landscapes, alongside people.

We have core projects dedicated to reintroducing Eurasian cranes and lynx, and are exploring other “transformational” species that could deliver wider benefits to the environment and society.
