RETURN MISSING SPECIES
What change do we want to see?
An increase in abundance and diversity of species in Scotland, built on societal understanding of the critical role of all species – including missing native species – in sustaining functioning ecosystems.
What are we doing to drive this change?
We have core projects dedicated to reintroducing Eurasian cranes and lynx, and are exploring other “transformational” species that might deliver wider benefits to the environment and society.
We are committed to creating the conditions that allow lost species to thrive alongside people, and to building relationships with land managers to better understand and alleviate tensions.
Where appropriate, we support other organisations to push forward the expansion of species’ range.
