A stunning new book from SCOTLAND:The Big Picture.

On 20 April, SCOTLAND: The Big Picture launches the first in a series of stunning conservation books. The Red Squirrel: a future in the forest showcases one of Britain’s favourite mammals and at the same time, makes the case for the expansion of its native woodland home. With words by celebrated writer Polly Pullar, the book’s stunning imagery has been provided by Cairngorms photographer Neil McIntyre, who has spent 20 years following the lives of his local squirrels. Neil's jaw-dropping images evocatively portray not only the lives of his local squirrels, but the fragile forest they depend on.

Throughout November 2016, we ran a successful crowdfunding appeal to secure the production costs for this book. Thanks to the generosity of over 500 backers, copies will be available directly from this site from 20 April.
