Accredited carbon offsetting
Offset your carbon through bespoke woodland and peatland restoration projects
Carbon dioxide is the most commonly produced greenhouse gas. Reducing our carbon footprint is the first step we can all take to limit the impact of climate breakdown.
Carbon sequestration is the process of capturing and locking away carbon dioxide to reduce the amount in the atmosphere. Rewilding, via the restoration of natural habitats, creates carbon sinks, effectively trapping the carbon within the plants and soil.
We recognise that businesses are increasingly commited to achieving carbon neutrality, but are also seeking to become ‘nature positive’ by investing in ecological recovery, or rewilding.
We work closely with two Scottish carbon partners who specialise in bringing together businesses wishing to offset carbon and rewilding projects within Scotland. Our partners were chosen specifically for their focus on optimising ecological gain through the creation of new native woodlands and the restoration of damaged peatlands across our Northwoods Rewilding Network.
Our accredited carbon offset projects are registered and validated under either the UK Woodland Carbon Code or the UK Peatland Carbon Code, ensuring that the carbon credits you are buying are fully verified.
LET US TELL YOUR REWILDING STORY
A unique element of working with SCOTLAND: The Big Picture is that we recognise the importance of reporting to your staff, customers and investors, on the change your support brings about.
We believe passionately in the power of storytelling and our talented team of writers, photographers and filmmakers, will bring to life the rewilding stories that your investment enables. We want these stories to not only inform, but to inspire a diverse audience to embark on their own rewilding journey.
